I am a Christian woman, born and raised in the Midwest. I married my high school sweetheart and have one son ( who is grown and living on his own in Seattle). My faith and my family are extremely important to me, and guide a good deal of my decisions.
I have recently retired, after being in social work for over 20 years. In that time, I have worked with all ages, and several types of families. I have really come to develop a passion for parenting and family life because I feel that too many people have let these skills slide- and being a good spouse, and parent does take life skills that need to be taught. Unfortunately too many families do not teach the younger generations these skills.
I am also strong in my opinions and don't mid sharing them with the world- thus this blog.
